HR consulting · Houston

The structure behind sound HR decisions.

Predicate helps employers build the policies, job descriptions, and documentation practices that hold up when a decision is questioned.

P

Factual clarity, structural integrity.

PREDICATEpred·i·cate, n.

In a Texas courtroom, laying the predicate means establishing the foundation that allows evidence to be admitted. An employment decision works the same way: it is only as defensible as the policies and records beneath it. That groundwork is what we build.

Services

HR consulting for public and private employers

Clear policies, accurate job descriptions, and consistent documentation give every later decision something solid to stand on.

Policies and positions

The written structure of the workplace

  • Personnel policies and handbooks
  • Job descriptions
  • Policy reviews and updates

Policies are written to HR best practice. We recommend review by your counsel before adoption.

Investigations and documentation

How the workplace records what happens

  • Workplace investigation procedures and protocols
  • Supervisor training on documentation
  • Review of documentation practices before decisions are made

We advise on and design investigation processes. We do not conduct investigations.

Approach

How we work

Impartial

Processes we design treat every employee the same way and follow the facts, so outcomes can be explained to anyone who asks.

Foundation first

Every policy and job description is tied to its purpose and to how it will be applied, so managers know what it requires of them.

Confidential

Client information is handled under written engagement terms, kept only as long as required, and returned or retained as the engagement directs.

Conflict-screened

Every engagement is screened for conflicts before any work begins, and the screening is documented.
